About History Hodge Podge:
History Hodge Podge is a random smattering of ephemera (print advertisements, photographs, postcards etc.) from nineteenth and twentieth century America.
About me, Tanya Brassie:
Currently, I am a graduate student in the MSIS program at the University of Texas focusing on digital libraries. I have a BA in History also from the University of Texas (I’ll never leave!) I’ve loved history ever since I can remember; my mom would drag me to antique stores with her every weekend and I was, even at a young age, fascinated by the old photographs, furniture and gadgets. My interest in history was only exacerbated in 1997 by the release of Titanic, after which I was obsessed with finding out anything I could about the real story. This was replaced in an interest in roller coasters and amusement parks (specifically Cedar Point) and their history (Dad, you still haven’t taken us!!). Fast forward a few years later and I decided to study history in college. This blog is a way for me to share the neat things I find with others and to combine two interests of mine: digital media and history.
I totally enjoy your blog, posts, that I’ve nominated you for the Reality Blog Award; my hope is that by listing your blog on my blog, it would be like me sharing a gem with visitors. Thank you for your posts!! 🙂
